This is who we are. Imperfect people claiming Jesus’ perfection.
The Lansing Seventh-day Adventist Church is part of a world-wide Church with more than 18 million members in over 200 countries around the world.
WE ARE FLAWED.
We are a family of flawed individuals that need Jesus. If you were looking for good people, you will not find them here. However, you will find sick, humbled people in need of a Physician. We are not perfect, but we serve One who is perfect.
WE ARE FORGIVEN.
Jesus saved us from the penalty of sin with His death on the cross. As a result, we can go directly to Him for forgiveness of sins, and He is always willing to forgive us, and keep us from sinning again. It is a daily process, but Jesus saved us.
WE ARE FREE.
Jesus died the death we deserved, so that we could live the life He deserved. We are free from the burden of sin. Because He first loved us, we love Him back by keeping His commandments because He gave them to us for our happiness.
What We Believe
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians.
Currently, Adventists hold 28 fundamental beliefs that can be organized into six categories—the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity. To find out more click here
